James P. Cusick Sr. born on March 17, 1956 in Leonardtown, Md. He's the son of Laurence M. & Nora E. Cusick. Both parents have since passed away. May they rest in peace. James P. Cusick is the 6th child of 12 siblings. JP Cusick now resides in Lexington Park, Md.

James P. Cusick Sr. didn't graduate High School but did go on to receive his GED in 1975. No other higher education was pursued. James said, He likes to self educate himself on different issues. Such as the Law, Religion, Politics, Government, History and more.

James P. Cusick Sr. went on to marry his high school sweetheart Darlene in 1976. The young couple was bless with a son, in April of 1977. Unfortunately after 5 years of marriage, the young couple separated in 1981. The divorce came final in 1983. He was court order to pay child support.

Darlene move on with her life. She raise her 6 years old son with very little, to no help from JP Cusick. Darlene remarried and the couple raised JP Jr. her son from her first marriage. In later years, Darlene was stricken with cancer. With family by her side, she lost her battle with cancer in 1994. May she rest in peace.

Shortly after JP divorce was final. JP Cusick decided to travel around the US. He went to many different states such as Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, California, Wyoming, Illinois, New York. After being gone for approx. 9 years.

James P. Cusick Sr., decided to return to his hometown in St. Mary's County in 1992. For the first time he was incarcerated for 3 months, then again in 1997. For not complying with a court order to pay child support.

James P Cusick Sr. even though child support enforcement said he was $27,000 in the arrears. He felt he was wrongfully incarcerated by the Court. Due to unethical pressure by the child support agency in St. Mary's County. James said, he try to cooperate with child support enforcement. James said, "I did pay it at some times unless I could not afford it." JP Cusick, feels strongly that no one should have to pay child support.

Quote from Washington Post, James P. Cusick said "With no job prospects, he missed making child support payments for several years. He said he filed several petitions to delay his payments, but "corrupt" judges wouldn't accept his arguments, even after his wife died of cancer and he was required to pay her second husband. "It's unacceptable, oppressive, tyrannical to make people continue to pay when they don't have money," JP Cusick said.


James P. Cusick Sr. showed his disapproval over his own child support case by buying a can of spray paint. Then he travel to the Circuit Court house in Leonardtown, Md. And sprayed graffit onto 4 pillars in front of the courthouse. Later he spray graffit onto 2 pillars on the front of the Child Support enforcement office, also in Leonardtown, Md. He was found guility in both incident. Serve approx. 2 years in jail.

James P. Cusick Sr. doesn't stop there. Cusick traveled to Annapolis and sprayed graffit onto the two pillars on the Maryland State House with red spray paint. Which landed him another 3 years in jail. He also spent in jail for not complying with a court order to pay child support approx. 9 months. JP Cusick spent approx. 6 years behind bars.
