James P. Cusick Sr. Gives Support to Sex Offenders

James P. Cusick Sr, happens to be one of the lesser known candidates for Maryland Governor 2010. He said, He received a questionaire from (PAC)Political Action Committe.

Topic: "Reform Sex Offender Laws" Let me remind you he only has a GED and proclaims that he's self educated. But yet James said he can't come up with a answer.

"I got this info from a Maryland PAC group called F.A.I.R. and
I just don't know how to answer it? So it is a question."

James P. Cusick Sr. "It is saying that most sex offenders do not repeat such crimes, and it is not asking to relief the violent rapist. The group is very being rather brave in my opinion, and it is the kind of daring that I find respectful."

"Even after being show several sites about Rev. Thomas A. Rydzewski, James P. Cusick said, "I do not know the particulars myself, and that is why I posted the info, and I figure the email was sent to all Statewide candidates."

"So the report is saying Rydzewski was a side-by arrest and it was only referring to them having child-porn on their computer and not some physical crime of actually harming anyone, which the second link to the "Registry" confirms. "

"And I like the fact that Rydzewski is a Catholic Pastor as that is probably where he got the nerve to now speak up after his own conviction, because I do not blame the Catholic Church for this problem."

After asking James P. Cusick Sr. whether or not he supports the group. He said's.

"I do not give any support to that group as I just heard of them a short time ago, but it seems that their goals and purposes and their methods are all reasonable and honorable, so when I become the Governor then I would likely seek to change and improve the Registry as that group suggest." he said

James P. Cusick Sr. "The thing is that if I put myself in such a position and if I was convicted of such an offense whether I was guilty or not guilty, then I would not submit to the registry myself, and I surely would turn to violent crime before I would submit to such a public pillory. I would try some non violent resistance at first to see if it might work."

Now bare with me for a moment. For someone that said they don't support sex offenders. Ask yourself why would he say, " I would not submit to the registry myself and I surely would turn to violent crime." I feel that if a person didn't support sex offenders. They wouldn't say something like that.

James was asked, Why are you so against registering Sex Offenders?
You say, "We create a far greater danger through the registry." How So?

James P. Cusick Sr. "As I said - if it were myself being guilty or falsely convicted, then I would resist the law by any means at my disposal. I have met sex offenders and seen what treatment they get, and I would fight the treatment since the registry does invite such hostilities to the convict.

It is probably the reason that many offenders do commit new crimes as they become desperate or just accept their own fate and act accordingly. This is what is meant by a "desperate criminal" in that they have nothing more to lose and it is fight or die and therefore such persons are far more prone to commit new acts of violence. " he said
